The Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery celebrated International OMFS Day on 13 February with great enthusiasm, involving faculty members and students. The event aimed to raise awareness about the scope of OMFS in managing conditions like facial trauma, oral cancer, infections, jaw disorders, and reconstructive surgeries.

A key highlight was a Nukkad Natak performed by postgraduate students, depicting real-life scenarios such as road accidents and oral cancer. The performance effectively engaged the audience and emphasized the importance of timely specialized care.

Various competitions were organized for undergraduate students, including poster-making, rangoli, and movie-making, all based on OMFS themes. These activities encouraged creativity and enhanced understanding of the specialty.

Entries were judged by faculty members on originality, scientific accuracy, and presentation. Winners were awarded certificates and prizes.

Overall, the event was successful in spreading awareness, promoting academic engagement, and highlighting the vital role of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in healthcare.
