ONGOING RESEARCH

Research is an integral part of college’s overall vision. Here we strive to develop, advance and disseminate knowledge to benefit not only the profession but also the society it serves. Department is dedicated to undertake meaningful research with due ethical consideration.

Currently, we are working on a number of ongoing researches. We are trying to establish orthographic surgical norms in North Indian population. Also, we are determining the incidence of 3rd molar agenesis with its effect on the development and eruption of adjacent second molar. Our department has also taken up a cross-sectional study to assess the skeletal age and dermatoglyphic pattern in adolescents of various body mass index.

The faculty here is highly research oriented encouraging the students to undertake studies with interests in areas like detecting the effect of micro-osteoperforation on the rate of canine retraction, observing the stability of condylar changes in twin block therapy using Computed tomography and evaluating the smile aesthetics and soft tissue changes using the Damon passive self-ligating bracket system. A study is also going on to assess the variation in morphology of maxillary incisors in different incised classes.
