The Department of Prosthodontics and Implantology, Institute of Dental Sciences (IDS), Bareilly, in collaboration with the Indian Dental Association (IDA), Bareilly Branch, successfully organized the DIO Digital Implant Conference on Digitally Guided Implant Surgery on 29th and 30th May 2026 .
The conference aimed to enhance knowledge and clinical skills in contemporary digital implant dentistry among dental professionals, faculty members, and postgraduate students. The conference was inaugurated by Dr. Keshav Agarwal, Chancellor, Bareilly International University (BIU); Dr. Ashok Agarwal, Pro-Chancellor, BIU; Dr. Lata Agarwal, Vice-Chancellor, BIU, Dr. Arjun Agarwal, Professor and Head, Department of Surgical Oncology and Dr. Sathyajith Naik, Principal, IDS Bareilly. Their presence underscored the institution's commitment to promoting advanced dental education and clinical excellence.
The program commenced with a welcome and opening address by Dr. Chandana Nair, Professor and Head, Department of Prosthodontics, who highlighted the significance of digital technologies in modern implant dentistry. Dr. Rahul Vohra President IDA, Bareilly introduced the guest speaker and highlighted his academic and clinical achievements. The keynote lecture was delivered by Dr. Navneet Kumar, a renowned Prosthodontist and Implantologist, who elaborated on digital implant workflows, treatment planning, and guided surgical procedures. A major highlight of the conference was the live demonstration of digitally guided implant surgery, providing delegates with practical exposure to precision-driven implant placement and digital workflows. A handson was also organised on the Digital placement of implants.
The program witnessed 96 enthusiastic participation from faculty members, postgraduate students, practitioners, and delegates. The conference concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Dr. Alok Kumar, Professor, Department of Prosthodontics, who expressed gratitude to the dignitaries, speaker, organizers, delegates, and supporting staff for their valuable contributions in making the event a grand success.
